Triangle Equilibré is born from rage and fear which eventually to realization. Following the news after Afghanistan Taliban back in power we could see how systematically women were forced to leave their emancipation for liberation and equal rights, at least those which were gained after USA and Nato intervention.
Regardless of my political views about and reasons for military deployment in this country, it was filling my mind with anger how women were losing ground in every level, including those of school and higher education studies. Since I was a young children I learned from my three older sister the power centered in women, even my father and his family were raised in a patriarchal structure my father understood this force, tried at first to overcome it and follow his old patterns but years of resistance made him follow with love the new lines of genre equality, so with my sisters and my father I learned to respect this force. It is not an erotic drawing,
it is a harsh representation were we see the muscles, tendons, bones of the woman's breast and arm were i tried to emulate old fashion anatomic illustrations from 19th century, I wanted to show in the spectators face the woman genitalia, her nipples, just in front so to confront the fears, the fears of the unknow for the man, for their masculinity and virility.
What happened eventually is that I was also confronted my own fears, not expressed by the big percentage of men, with the female sex, and most of all with my ignorance towards it, this piece of art brought me a realization, to learn more, to love more of what te women in all their dimension can offer, a source I find personally endless, farther than what men can give.
